Own worst enemy

I was working at home all day today. Even though it was bitterly cold, there was blue sky & sunshine. Why then did I leave it until 10 at night to go out for a run? By which time it was not just dark but icy underfoot as well. Tsk! I’m my own worst enemy sometimes.

Theoretically I could have counted the hour of squash I played as my Janathon training for the day; but that would have felt like cheating. It had to be a run. A token mile and a half was trotted out being cautious on corners and wherever I thought the gloom might be hiding a frozen puddle. Basically slow interspersed with even slower.

Lots of chatter about bad weather forecast for tomorrow morning. I don’t set too much store by the forecasts though. Time will tell.

Death by PowerPoint

There are already some fantastic mileages being logged for Janathon. In these first 3 days: @mrafletch has completed an amazing 40 running miles and tubbson2wheels a stunning 70 miles of cycling.

Time then for a quick review of my own, more modest, totals to-date. If a picture tells a story of a thousand words; then a spreadsheet generated chart must surely be the equivalent of reading the phone-book.

Today’s efforts included:

  • 10K run
  • An hour of squash
  • 12 Miles on bike rollers
